#14 Solo trips to Antalya
Hi Everyone ,
It's been a while, sorry for the long break. We had had some personal issues that needed resolving but we are now back and better.
In our last newsletter post we talked about another weekend trip to the city of love Paris, talking about its many hidden gems for you to visit such as the Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the spectacular Eiffel tower.
This week we would like to talk about our second edition of our solo trips and this time around we would like to talk about Antalya in Turkey.
Antalya is recognised as Turkey's biggest international sea resort, located on the Turkish Riviera, with beautiful beaches, hotels and also a cheeky party destination as well. It is also the fastest growing city in Turkey with tourists from all over the globe coming over to experience the sun along with the turkish traditional culture.
So why solo travel ….
In each solo edition we will be explaining reasons why you should take the chance and go on a solo travelling adventure.
Builds you confidence and pushes you outside your comfort zone
Great way to meet new people
Freedom of having your own schedule and not having to rely on anyone.
Gift yourself
Personal achievement are much sweeter
Solo Travel to Antalya
We picked Antalya as the next destination for two reasons. One is there are loads of things to do and secondly it is particularly safe for female travellers, it has the fun and laid back element in the same place staying close to beach restores but also not too far from the city itself.
The best time to go is mid April to mid-June or September to mid-October when you can avoid the wet winters and hot summers. We recommend going between 2 to 5 days.
Hotels to stay in Antalya
The suggestions below are hotels we believe would make your experience all the better while on Antalya the hotel prices range from the low end all the way to high scale.
Granada Luxury Belek - our first hotel pick is the Granada Luxury Belek hotel. It's an all inclusive hotel. It is fairly expensive but worth the price it will have everything included so you won’t be spending a lot while there. The hotel has a amusement park and also a maldevian section for adults only.
Akra Hotel - our next hotel pick is the Akra Hotel and is cheaper than Granada Luxury Belek. The hotel has two restaurants one of them is called Asmani which has a stunning rooftop view and the other is Pabilto. It includes five different pools and you will feel like you don’t ever want to leave the hotel.
Long Beach Harmony - Long beach Harmony is another hotel that includes an amusement park. It's not as big as Granada Belek, but definitely worth the stay and is a cheaper option. The hotel is an all inclusive hotel as well.
Paloma Finesse - probably our favourite hotel Paloma Finesse we would highly recommend going to this hotel, it is all inclusive like all the others. But the aesthetics are very pleasing to the eye. It includes a Spa, swimming, restaurants and more you won’t want to leave.
See below for our other hotel suggestions.
The land of legends hotel - family hotel
Rubi Platinum
Fame Residence
Titanic Mardan Palas
Things to do in Antalya
The to-do list in Antalya is amazing. Everyone goes on about the underwater restaurant experience but there is so much more please look below to see the list.
Eat at Nemo Restaurant - If you go to Antalya I think eating at Nemo would be one of the obvious choices. It is an underwater aquarium restaurant with amazing aesthetics. It is a pan Asain restaurant combining the elegance of European cuisine as well.
Spend a day at the land of legends - we have mentioned the land of legends in our hotel section, but we also recommend still going there to visit, it has a theme park on sight, the entertainment is nonstop , waiters are on rollerblades serving you drinks and going in the night is pretty cool as well with a amazing light show..
Take cable cars up to the mountains - firstly it is quite cheap to take the cable cars on a round trip and when you get to the top you have amazing views up to 2000ft high so definitely check that out.
Adventure activities - Include canoeing, boating riding, quad biking and zip lining as well.
Boat riding in the old city Marina
Visit both Duden Waterfalls
Shopping at old town Kaleco Bazaar
