#019 How points on your credit card can get you cheap flights
Hi Everyone ,
In our last newsletter post we talked about 10 cheap Countries you should travel to in May to start your summer right. We mentioned the likes of Paphos Cyprus, Rhodes Greece and many more with travel deals included.
In today’s newsletter we are going to talk about how having credit card points can get you a cheaper holiday to wherever you need to go. We would like to state we are not financial advisors, we are just providing tips on how you can get cheaper flights. Please do your own research before you decide on getting a credit card. We are not doing this newsletter to promote any credit cards, we are just sharing information that you may have not known.
How it works
Now depending on the credit card, you can use points to pay for a holiday potentially for you and a travel buddy. This works by every £1/$1 spent when shopping online or in a store being spent with the credit card converted to a point which can be accumulated to either get you a flight for a cheap price or completely free. Some companies offer a large amount of points for doing certain actions such as British Airways Amex credit card. If you refer a friend and they successfully sign up you will receive 4000 points or just signing up automatically yourself will get you 5000 points either way both are really good ways to accumulate points.
Other actions include a companion voucher offer. A companion voucher is a voucher that allows you to bring a friend along to a holiday for free if you spend £12,000 within a year period. It is essentially a buy one get one free plane ticket!
